Peggy Sue Richards

August 13, 1958 - March 27, 2022

Mrs. Peggy Sue Robertson Richards, 63, loving wife of 43 years of Clarence Summie Richards, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at her residence. Peggy Sue was born in Groton, Connecticut to the late William D. and Joan D. Robertson. She had attended Montville High School. Mrs. Richards enjoyed the outdoors and riding golf carts, she also loved arts and crafts. Spending time with her family and friends was important to her and she was a woman with a heart of gold. She was always there for her family and anyone and everyone. Watching her grandkids play and run around was her favorite thing to do. She was a mom to everyone and was always had a friendly smiling face. Survivors include her husband, Clarence Summie Richards; her son, James Richards (Tanya); her daughter, Mary Rutherford (Darrell); one brother, Jimmy Robertson; one sister, Cathy Dart; Grandchildren, Vincent Rutherford, Brandy Rutherford, Mary Richards, Austin Richards (Jordan Newsome) and William Richards; great-grandchildren, Alleigh Brooke, Aiden Lee and a new little one due to arrive soon; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Billy Robertson and a sister, Debbie Robertson. VISITATION: A time of Celebration of Peggy Sue's life will be held on Wednesday, March 30, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Starling Funeral Home.
