Marshall Odell Cripps

Mr. Marshall O. Cripps, of Grovetown, GA, entered into rest on March 23, 2022. Mr. Cripps was born in Tennessee the son of the late Lemuel P. Cripps and Lela Ann Cripps. He retired from the United States Army, proudly serving his country. He attended Bethesda Baptist Church in Harlem. He was a member of the Lyons Club, a lifetime member of The American Legion, and Woodmen of the World. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards, Rook being his favorite card game. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife and the mother of his children, Lillie Z. Cripps; and his second wife Violet Cripps; two sons, Eddie Lee Cripps, and Larry Cripps; and his daughter Ruth Ann Cripps. Survivors include his son, Odell Cripps; his daughter Janet Ortiz; Five step children, Ralph Gay, Olin Gay, Mary Finch, Joan Burleson, and Ruth Ann Stevens; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Bethesda Baptist Church, with Dr. Clayton Galloway officiating. Interment will follow at South Harlem Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Monday, March 28, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to Bethesda Baptist Chruch.
