Douglas Dewey Langford Jr.

May 24, 1955 - February 16, 2022

Mr. Douglas "Doug" Dewey Langford Jr., 66, from Thomson, entered into rest on February 16, 2022. Mr. Langford was born in Honolulu, the son of Mrs. Mary Helen Langford, and the late Douglas D. Langford Sr. He retired as a construction superintendent from Williams Realty and Building. He was an avid GA Bulldogs fan (Go DAWGS!!). Doug enjoyed hunting, fishing, and being outdoors with his friends and family. He especially delighted in woodworking and building. Doug never met a stranger, always eager to share a great story over a Budweiser. Doug's greatest accomplishment was being a Papa to his grandchildren and making memories with them. He was a devoted father and grandfather who was always there for his family and will be deeply missed. Doug was preceded in death by his father, Douglas D. Langford Sr. Survivors include his mother, Mary Helen Langford; one daughter, Connie Zaun; one son Ashley Thomas Langford; one brother, Tim Langford; two sisters, Susan DenBrok, and Gail Johnson; and two grandchildren, Henry Langford, and Whitten Holley. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM Sunday, February 20, 2022, at Starling Funeral Home. The family will process to Westview Cemetery, in Thomson, for a graveside service to immediately follow. The family kindly requests that those attending the service to wear their favorite DAWGS attire or red and black.
