Christine Summerville Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Christine Summerville, 75, of Harlem entered into eternal rest Sunday, July 10, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family. She was dedicated to taking care of her family, home and grandchildren with a sweet loving nature unlike any other. She worked as a book keeper for Kenneth Smith Home Builders until she made the decision to stay home and care for her grandchildren. Christine enjoyed camping with her family at Winfield, riding the golf cart, looking at the flowers and birds. Her greatest joy was being Granny to her precious grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Christine is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Kenneth Summerville; two daughters, Jennifer (David) Kent and Judy (Christopher) Knoeferl; one brother, Oscar (Bernice) Wilkinson; four precious grandchildren, Brittany (Harrison) Kent Burdeshaw, Lauren (Ryan) Kent Smith, Hailey Knoeferl and Delaney Knoeferl; and two beloved great-grandsons, Logan and Cole Burdeshaw. Christine was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Shaw; dad, John Wilkinson; step-dad, James Shaw; brothers and sisters, Lonnie Wilkinson, Frank Story, Joyce Smith and Jeanette Gurreu. Graveside memorial services to celebrate Christine's life will be held 2 PM, Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Harlem Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Polly Davis officiating.
